Union League Boys & Girls Clubs

In addition to the smaller, volunteer-type events held throughout the year, the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs hosts four major annual events at the Union League Club of Chicago, which are open to all, including non-Club members. These events are major fundraising opportunities for the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs and support critical programming for the 15,000 youth they serve.

FEBRUARY

Youth of the Year Ceremony: Honors the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs’ Youth of the Year and Junior Youth of the Year candidates. Guests hear Youth of the Year candidates share their stories, and enjoy dinner and the opportunity to meet the incredible candidates. The ceremony announces the Youth of the Year candidate elected to represent the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs at the regional Boys & Girls Clubs of America competition.

Guests enjoy an evening with dinner and an auction of sports memorabilia.

JUNE

In February, CEF celebrates National Engineers Week with Engineering Focus, a luncheon to kickoff Engineers Week in Chicago. The Spring fundraising event, scheduled each March, is a cocktail event featuring a fun theme and entertainment, a silent auction, raffle prizes and live music. Each June, the Chicago Engineers' Foundation Award Celebration is the culmination of the academic year, honoring up to 100 students receiving scholarship awards and celebrating Chicago's future engineers. Throughout the year, CEF also hosts monthly, third Wednesday Happy Hour events as well as networking opportunities for members and engineering professionals.
